Are You Ready to Start College ?
Deciding to start college might be difficult, especially if you've got career and/or family obligations. Carefully consider the following before starting college, and talk things over with those close to you:
- Do you have the support of your family?
- College will require you to spend time studying, reading and reflecting. Students who are successful have the support of those around them to make it through.
- Do you have the support of your employer?
- You may need to adjust your work schedule.
- How will you schedule your time?
- Remember to plan time for classes, studying, and traveling to campus (if needed).
- Do you have the financial means to attend college?
- Necessary costs are tuition and fees, books and materials, and transportation/parking. Does your employer provide tuition reimbursement? Financial aid can help!
