Each year students from over a hundred countries are welcomed into UW System campus communities. Generally if you are an international student applying for admission as an undergraduate you must demonstrate strong academic potential, be proficient in the English language, and document adequate funds necessary to meet the expenses of studying at a UW System campus and other expenses necessary to live and study in the United States.
To ensure full consideration for admission, you should apply well in advance of the semester you hope to begin studies at a UW System campus.
International applicants can learn more by reviewing information about majors, campus housing, and communities in which UW campuses are located. The great state of Wisconsin and the internationally acclaimed UW System offer a wealth of opportunities for academic study, fun, travel, and an experience of a lifetime!
Basic information provided here should be used as a guideline only. You are encouraged to communicate directly with the UW System campus(es) of interest.
