ACT/SAT Frequently Asked Questions

UW System campuses use the results of standardized tests in the evaluation of freshman applicants for admission. New freshman applicants must submit the results of the ACT or the SAT. This requirement may be waived for older and/or nontraditional applicants.

So that they may apply early, high school students are advised to take the ACT or SAT in the spring of their junior year and have the official results sent to each campus of interest.
